Hello back!

3 min read

/taps mic/ Sssso, uhm, hello? Can anybody hear me, is anyone still out there??

After long consideration, I felt like it was time to come back here, swipe the dust a bit and try to shape my space into this platform once more.

You know how most artists have migrated to social media platforms due easier exposure & engagement, but no one can deny that in the past few years, things have gotten out of control (due many factors, from nsfw bans & puritanism content policies, to fucked up algorithms that only work for corporations), and smaller content creators have taken the hardest toll of it all.

I'm aware dA's not entirely perfect (but what is in this society tbh) (wait- AO3 IS), but mayyybe, perhaps with some of its new features, more similar to social media's, it might become The Platform for artists once again in the near future. Maybe. Once all social media falls AND if nothing better comes up lmao

Despite it all I've decided to take a leap of faith & come back here once more, hoping for that near future 8) But being over a decade since I opened my page, I decided a clean up was due. You'll notice almost all of my art gone, and all journals erased. I backed it all up for the memories, but I'm definitely not the same person I was a decade ago, and I think that needs to show here as well.

I'll be uploading art I consider decent-for-posting-here, from the past 2 years, so I can receive the new decade with a brand new up-to-date page!

I don't manage multiple accounts well, so I don't know just how active I'll be here, though I'll do my best to try and build community as much as I can ('cause in the end, it's all about artists supporting artists ahahha).

For a more direct communication, my main account is still Twitter, though I'm also kinda active on Instagram. My Tumblr is almost dead, but I upload art there occasionally; as well as my Pixiv.

I hope the next decade will be kinder for creators, in this dangerous era of Web 2.0. After doing a nostalgia trip through my old posts, it hit me quite strongly how different interactions were back then. Not only because I grew up (I cringed so much at some of my younger self' takes lmaooo) but also internet's social codes were different, more naïve, more ignorant even, but kind of more spontaneous as well.

BUT ANYWAYS, I don't wanna go on an infinite rant (for now) about life & internet & stuff. I want to work hard to find a platform that feels more comforting than others are offering atm!

Hope we can make acquaintances again! ♥ And for those who started watching my page recently: nice to meet you!! ♥♥

PS: I forgot to thank everyone who's kept commenting on my art for the past few years, despite not getting any reply from me woops;;; I'll make sure to be more active on that aspect from here onwards!
